We use an exciting array of antioxidants, moisturizers and anti-inflammatories with active and invigorating blends of acids and fresh fruit extracts and purees like raspberry, strawberry, mandarin orange, pomegranate, and wild cherry.  Our products also contain all natural skin brighteners like Arbutin, Bearberry, Waltheria Indicia Leaf, Yellow Dock, Daisy Flower and Licorice Root extracts for a variety of chemical and enzyme peels to address just about any skin concern. 

You will notice most of Illustre Essenza chemical and enzyme peels contain Salicylic and Lactic Acids which are known to be much less irritating to skin than traditional Glycolics.

Salicylic Acid , also known as Beta Hydroxy Acid, occurs naturally in wintergreen leaves, licorice, marigold, sweet birch, raspberries, willowbark extract and other plants. It is an excellent anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, fungicidal, anti-oxidant and can help provide protection from free radicals. Salicylic Acid is able to penetrate the pore to exfoliate inside as well as outside and it is also a very good treatment for combination or acne prone skin types. Salicylic Acid also has minimal stinging and irritation making it good treatment for acne, rosacea, and melasma.

Lactic Acid is obtained from sour milk. It is also an alpha hydroxy acid with a larger molecule that Glycolic Acid and may not be as irritating as other AHA's.

Glycolic Acid is naturally found in sugar beets, cane sugar, and unripe grapes. Of all of the Alpha Hydroxy Acids, Glycolic Acid has the smallest molecule, however, it can also be the most irritating to skin.

Zesty Orange Tango Chemical Peel (10% Lactic and 2% Glycolic Acid) pH 2.07-100% Paraben free smells like a freshly squeezed glass of orange juice to refresh and revitalize your senses. Zesty Orange Tango peel incorporates an energizing blend of acids and fruit for your skin. Ruby Red Jessner Chemical Peel pH 2.08-100% Paraben free is a serious medium depth peel for amazing results - combines Lactic & Salicylic Acids, Resorcinol and Wine Extracts for smoother skin, improved texture, tone and acne fighting properties. Wild Cherry Salicylic Acid Chemical Peel pH 2.29-100% Paraben free contains 20% Salicylic Acid and Wild Cherry Bark Extract plus Vitamin E (D-alpha Tocophero)l to improve the quality, tone, texture and clarity of the skin; especially beneficial for acne, enlarged pores, melasma, post-inflammatory hyper-pigmenation, photo-aging, rough, combination or oily skin types skin. Self neutralizing.

Cool Azul Agave Enzyme Mask pH 5.01-100% Paraben free is a very gentle and extremely soothing exfoliating mask that can be used for all skin types, post Microdermabrasion or other laser skin rejuvenation treatment as it uses all natural enzymes and is acid free.. Designed to refine texture and lift away surface impurities while helping to stimulate cellular turnover and provide much needed moisture to skin.
